why water is essential to life

Water is essential to life because 70 % of your body is made up of water and the bodys cell is filled by water. Water moves nutrients and other various things in and out of your system. Water is also important because water heats slowly but retains the heat much longer. Im saying this because many organisms release waste through evaporation, for humans it is sweating,it carries heat away from the body which helps maintain consant body temprature which means it helps cell maintain Homeostasis. Now water molecules attract substances of the same kind which is called Cohesion which helps form thin films and drops which help the preventing the surface water so it wont break easily. Now water also helps with Adhesion which is attraction between diffrent substances which uses capillary action which helps move water through a narrow tube. The attaction of water to the walls make the water stronger to the gravitational pull then the water moves upward through the plant from diffrent roots through combination of Adhesion and Capillary Action. Water also has high specific heat. For example if we did not have hagh specific heat in the summer we would burn and in the winter we would freeze. Water also has H20 molecules from h bonds with each other + h attracted to -0 creats a sticky moleculel. Water is also essential to life because it has polarity with means the molecule has two parts positive and negative. Polarity example is if a ice broke and landed on a river the ice wont just go down on water and melt it will stay up with protects the natural habitat of that Ecosystem. Water also has acid and bases. Acids are Ionic Compounds and when dissolved in water break apart and form Hydrogen Ions they also have sour taste. Now bases are solutions that are also Ionic compounds but the form Hydrioxide Ions. Bases are usually slipperly and bitter tasting.
